What happens when a review is submitted?

At Care for Kids, our process ensures that reviews submitted by parents are thoroughly evaluated to maintain a fair and constructive environment for both parents and childcare centres.

  1. Review Submitted:
When a parent submits a review of a childcare service on our platform, it undergoes an initial screening process to ensure it adheres to our review policy.
  2. Centre Receives a Notification:
The childcare service in question will receive a notification indicating that a new review has been submitted. They will have the option to review and either publish or reject the review.
  3. Review Approval by Centre:
If the childcare centre chooses to approve the review, it will be published and made visible online for other parents to see. The feedback will become part of the centre's profile.
  4. Review Rejection by Centre:
If the childcare centre rejects the review, the review is forwarded to the Care for Kids team for further assessment.
  5. Care for Kids Team Review:
The Care for Kids team will carefully review the rejected review and assess it against our established policy. If the review aligns with our policy, it will be approved for publication.
  6. Publishing the Review:
Once approved by the Care for Kids team, the review will be published, overriding the centre's initial decision to reject it. The feedback will then be displayed online, providing valuable insights to other parents seeking childcare services.

Why Reviews Are Subject to Approval

At Care for Kids, we believe in transparency and fairness in our review process. Unlike some other platforms that allow reviews to be submitted and displayed immediately, we've implemented a review approval process. Here's why:

While platforms like Google and others offer the ability to reply or respond to reviews, Care for Kids currently does not have this functionality in place. We understand that being able to respond to both positive and negative feedback is crucial for maintaining open communication between parents and childcare services.

To compensate for this limitation, we've given childcare services the option to review and potentially reject a submitted review. This serves as their way of offering a response, albeit indirectly, until we implement the reply functionality.

It's important to note that a review rejection by a centre is not a final decision. It is simply their means of providing feedback in the absence of a direct reply feature. If your review is rejected but still aligns with our policy, the Care for Kids team will step in to review and potentially approve it. This ensures that all valid and constructive feedback has the opportunity to be shared with the community.

We appreciate your understanding as we work towards enhancing our platform's functionality to facilitate communication between parents and childcare centres better. Your feedback is invaluable in this process. Thank you for being a part of our community!
