Are there guidelines a parent must follow when submitting a review?

At Care for Kids, we value the input of parents in our community who share their experiences and insights about childcare services. To ensure that reviews are helpful and constructive, we've established the following policy.

  1. Be Constructive and Specific:
Please provide specific details about your experience with the childcare service. Mention aspects like cleanliness, staff interaction, educational activities, safety measures, etc.
  2. Maintain Professionalism:
Avoid using profanity, hate speech, or offensive language in your reviews. Treat all childcare providers and other parents with respect.
  3. Avoid Personal Attacks:
Focus on the service's performance rather than targeting specific individuals. Personal attacks or comments about individual staff members will not be permitted.
  4. Be Truthful and Honest:
Share your genuine experiences and observations. Do not misrepresent facts or intentionally provide false information.
  5. Balance Emotion with Objectivity:
While it's natural to have emotions tied to your child's care, try to provide feedback that is balanced and fair. Explain both positive and negative aspects of your experience.
  6. Avoid Sensitive Information:
Do not disclose personal information about staff or other families. Respect everyone's privacy.
  7. No Advertising or Spam:
Reviews should not be used for promotional purposes. Any attempt to promote a product or service will be removed.
  8. Review Moderation:
All reviews are subject to moderation. Reviews that violate our policy will be removed. Repeat offenders may be restricted from posting further reviews.
  9. Child Safety and Unavoidable Incidents:
Recognise that certain incidents, such as children biting or scratching one another, may be unavoidable and are a standard part of child development. Rather than describing such incidents, please focus on providing constructive feedback on how the service addressed your concern when it was raised.
  10. Avoid Defamatory Statements, Libel, and Accusations of Criminal Activities:
Do not make defamatory statements, engage in libel, or accuse individuals or organisations of criminal activities. Serious accusations should be reported to the appropriate legal authorities rather than posted online.
  11. Report Inappropriate Content:
If you encounter a review that violates our policy, please report it to our moderation team.
  12. Avoid Generalisations:
Refrain from making broad statements about an entire service based on a single experience. Share specific incidents or aspects of your experience.
  13. Use Discretion with Sensitive Topics:
Exercise caution when discussing sensitive topics, such as medical conditions or special needs, to protect the privacy and dignity of all parties involved.
  14. Respect Diverse Perspectives:
Understand that different families may have varying expectations and preferences. What may be important to one family may not hold the same weight for another.
  15. Encourage Dialogue:
If possible, engage in a constructive conversation with the childcare provider if you have concerns. Open communication can lead to better understanding and positive outcomes.
  16. Focus on the Service’s Control:
Evaluate and provide feedback on aspects the childcare service has direct control over rather than external factors beyond their influence.
  17. Give Credit Where Due:
Acknowledge and highlight positive practices or exceptional efforts made by the childcare service.
  18. Be Mindful of Changes Over Time:
Understand that childcare services may evolve and improve based on feedback and experience. Consider revisiting and updating your review if you have had multiple experiences.

Note:

Care for Kids reserves the right to remove reviews that do not adhere to our policy. We are committed to maintaining a constructive and informative platform for parents seeking childcare services.
